The Research Library provides online access to many of the Museum's library and archival resources. For additional information regarding these, or any other resources, or to make an appointment, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Many of the Research Library's archival materials are available in digital form through the Biodiversity Heritage Library. We initially upload archival materials to the Internet Archive, and they later become available at the Biodiversity Heritage Library. Materials include the field note collections of Laurence M. Klauber, Frank Stephens, Laurence M. Huey, and Charles Russell Orcutt. Other items include field reports of Stephens (1902-1903) and Jose Maria Gallegos's Exploracion en la Sierra de San Pedro Martir e Isla de Guadalupe (1923).

The Research Library's collection of digital images on Flickr.com is a selection from our collection, representing a fraction of our total holdings. Our goal is to introduce the public to the Museum's photograph collection by making low-resolution images available for research, education, and public re-use. High-resolution images may be ordered for personal and commercial use for a small fee. Please contact the Research Library for more information or download the digital image order form (PDF).
Finding aids are descriptive inventories for our archival records and manuscript collections. The Research Library's finding aids are available online through The Online Archive of California, a union database of finding aids for many California repositories (including the archives of university libraries, museums, and historical societies).
